BioRealize: Microbial Design Studio Prototype

BioRealize is an automated biolab that enables the creation of genetically modified organisms which are used in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to footwear. ​

The original prototype, seen here at Milan Design week, was conceived of and fabricated by a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers and scientists at the University of Pennsylvania, Emerging Design Practices Lab.
